Senior Recruiter, Leadership Recruiting

About this role

Lead end-to-end searches for Senior Director and above roles across Duolingo’s functions. Partner with executives to define roles, source and assess senior candidates, and close hires while improving the leadership recruiting process.

The team

Leadership Recruiting team; reports to the Senior Principal Recruiter.

What you'll do

• Lead senior leadership searches from intake through sourcing, assessment, offer, and close
• Build talent maps and pipelines using research, referrals, networks, and direct outreach
• Advise executives on role scope, success criteria, and market realities
• Design structured assessments for leadership, functional depth, and fit
• Provide a thoughtful candidate and hiring-manager experience
• Use data, AI, and partner feedback to improve searches

What we're looking for

• 8+ years of full-cycle recruiting experience at technology companies
• 2+ years focused on Director-level and above leadership hiring
• Track record leading technical and non-technical leadership searches end to end
• Strong business sense and ability to advise and influence C-level executives
• Hands-on experience using AI tools in recruiting
• Ability to work in the New York City office on a hybrid 4+1 schedule

• Recruiting experience at a high-growth consumer technology company, especially one led by Engineering, Product, and Design
• Experience sourcing and recruiting for challenging Engineering, Product, and Design roles
