What you'll do
- Run and interpret atomistic and multi-scale simulations
- Develop and test computational workflows
- Lead high-fidelity data generation campaigns
- Connect simulations to microstructure and process-level predictions
- Collaborate with experimental validation partners
- Communicate research findings
- Support junior scientists and interns
What we're looking for
- PhD in Solid-state Physics or related field
- Hands-on experience with DFT or atomistic simulation
- Strong programming skills in Python
- Experience applying machine learning to materials problems
- Ability to collaborate with experimental teams
- Must be a US Person
Nice to have
- Specialization in alloys or magnetic materials
- 3+ years post-PhD experience with DFT
- Proficiency with simulation software
- Experience with ML interatomic potentials
- Hands-on experience with rare-earth-lean magnets
- Familiarity with Bayesian optimization
