Senior Software Engineer, Add-Ons

What you'll do

• Deliver features and architectural improvements across moderation pipelines, Reviewer tools, and DevHub
• Improve CI/CD, observability, deployment safety, and production operations
• Establish engineering standards for testing, readiness, runbooks, and incident response
• Create internal developer tools and platforms
• Document designs, decisions, runbooks, and incidents; mentor and support peers

What we're looking for

• Strong production experience with Python and Django
• Experience operating reliable production systems and improving CI/CD workflows
• Knowledge of observability, including metrics, logs, tracing, SLOs, and alerting
• Experience with automated testing, deployment workflows, and infrastructure as code
• Ability to debug complex issues across frontend, backend, asynchronous jobs, data stores, and infrastructure
• Strong technical writing, collaboration, and peer-mentoring skills

Nice to have

• Google Cloud and Kubernetes experience
• Infrastructure as code or policy as code
• SLOs, error budgets, chaos engineering, or disaster recovery
• Trust and safety, automated moderation, or abuse prevention
• Open-source contributions
