What you'll do

• Own and deliver quarterly technical goals for the Communications area.
• Design and evolve backend services for orchestration, delivery, preferences, templates, and observability.
• Build resilient integrations with external messaging vendors.
• Define service-level objectives, improve alerting and incident response, and participate in on-call rotation.
• Improve engineering standards and mentor teammates.

What we're looking for

• 5+ years of software development or engineering experience.
• Strong system design and architecture skills.
• Experience building highly available distributed systems.
• Experience designing multi-region, multi-tenant platforms with isolation, scalability, recovery, and consistency guarantees.
• Experience integrating third-party messaging vendors.
• Ability to plan and deliver significant system components and make safe changes in large codebases.
• Proficiency with AI-assisted development tools and judgment to validate their output.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
