What you'll do
- Own and deliver quarterly technical goals for communications infrastructure.
- Design and evolve reliable services for message orchestration, delivery, preferences, templates, and observability.
- Build resilient integrations with external messaging vendors.
- Define service-level objectives, improve alerting and incident response, and participate in on-call.
- Improve engineering standards for design, testing, code review, rollout, and operations.
- Mentor teammates and provide technical direction.
What we're looking for
- 5+ years of software development or engineering experience.
- Strong system design and architecture knowledge.
- Experience building highly available distributed systems.
- Experience designing multi-region, multi-tenant platforms with isolation, scalability, recovery, and consistency guarantees.
- Experience integrating third-party communications or messaging vendors.
- Proficiency making significant changes safely in a large codebase.
- Proficiency with AI-assisted development tools and ability to validate their output.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
