Senior Software Engineer, Cloud (Backend / Infrastructure)

Build and operate cloud infrastructure for Webflow Cloud, enabling customers to deploy and run full-stack applications and AI agents. Own features from discovery and design through rollout and ongoing production operation.

What you'll do

• Build and operate reliable cloud services across compute, storage, networking, and managed infrastructure
• Evolve infrastructure for web applications and AI agents
• Participate in on-call rotations, investigate incidents, and prevent recurring issues
• Use CDN and edge computing to improve global application delivery
• Own features end to end, from customer problem through ongoing improvement

What we're looking for

• 5+ years building and operating backend services in production
• Experience defining service boundaries, contracts, and data ownership
• Business-level English fluency
• Experience with AWS, Cloudflare, or similar cloud platforms
• Experience designing data models, optimizing queries, and operating production databases
• Fluency in TypeScript and Node.js, with comfort using edge runtimes
• Understanding of HTTP, caching, CDNs, and edge compute
• Strong ownership and judgment across performance, security, accessibility, and reliability
