What you'll do

• Implement privacy, anti-tracking, and threat-intelligence protections in Firefox
• Improve the architecture of Gecko
• Build performant, low-latency, maintainable software
• Collaborate asynchronously with a geographically distributed team

What we're looking for

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience
• At least 4 years of C++ and Rust programming experience
• Background in memory safety, multithreaded system architecture, or raw data stream manipulation
• Ability to quickly onboard and deliver improvements to complex software projects
• Track record of independently scoping and shipping complex features within tight release windows
• Strong written and verbal communication skills

Nice to have

• Contributions to Mozilla or its codebase
• Experience with Gecko, Chromium, WebKit, or browser runtime abstractions
• Interest or experience in using ML pipelines to automate developer workflows
• Knowledge of web architecture, web privacy and security, and client-side data structures
• Basic statistical modeling knowledge
• Python and SQL proficiency
