What you'll do

• Implement privacy, anti-tracking, and threat-intelligence protections in Firefox
• Make architectural improvements to Gecko
• Build performant, low-latency, maintainable code
• Collaborate asynchronously with a distributed team across Europe and the US East Coast

What we're looking for

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience
• At least 4 years of C++ and Rust programming experience
• Strong background in memory safety, multithreaded systems, or raw data stream manipulation
• Ability to quickly onboard and deliver complex software projects
• Experience independently scoping and delivering complex features within tight release windows
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Nice to have

• Contributions to Mozilla or its codebase
• Experience with Gecko, Chromium, WebKit, or browser-engine runtime abstractions
• Interest or experience in using ML pipelines to automate developer workflows
• Deep understanding of web architecture, web privacy and security, and client-side data structures
• Knowledge of basic statistical modeling
• Proficiency in Python and SQL
