What you'll do
- Own prospect technical relationships and guide evaluations toward a technical win.
- Demonstrate Coder for developers, administrators, and AI-agent workflows.
- Install Coder on cloud and on-premises Kubernetes or VM infrastructure.
- Run proofs of concept, including agentic and LLM-powered development workflows.
- Troubleshoot deployments, networking, and Kubernetes components.
- Share prospect and customer insights with Product and Engineering; track issues and requests in Linear.
- Contribute documentation pull requests.
What we're looking for
- At least 5 years of solutions engineering experience selling infrastructure or developer tools.
- Strong customer-facing skills and the ability to connect technical challenges to business value.
- Deep Linux fundamentals and command-line proficiency.
- At least 3 years of hands-on Docker and Kubernetes experience.
- Experience with AWS, Google Cloud, or Microsoft Azure.
- At least 3 years using Terraform or comparable infrastructure-as-code tools.
- Solid networking knowledge, including ingress controllers, proxies, and load balancers.
- Experience with AI coding tools and LLM infrastructure, and understanding of enterprise evaluation and adoption.
Nice to have
- Experience at both high-growth startups and larger software vendors.
- Experience deploying or supporting AI coding agents in customer environments.
- Background in CI/CD, DevOps, developer platforms, or platform engineering.
- Kubernetes, AWS, or related certifications.
