Own the operational transition from indirect to direct participation in TARGET2 (T2), from process design and UAT through migration and business-as-usual operations. What you'll do
- Design, document, and operate payment processes for SCT/SCT Inst recalls, investigations, SWIFT enquiries, missing funds, rejects, returns, and refunds.
- Operate the T2 platform through its U2A/A2A interfaces and maintain CRDM reference data and operational controls.
- Manage the BIC-by-BIC migration from BNP Paribas to direct T2 participation and define retirement of BNPP-dependent steps.
- Coordinate payment reconciliation with the reconciliation team; funding and defunding remain with Finance Ops/Treasury.
- Define incident escalation, DNB reporting, and ECONS II contingency processes.
- Coordinate with the Eurosystem, DNB, SWIFT/NEXI, FIS, correspondent banks, Product, and Engineering.
What we're looking for
- Hands-on experience with T2/TARGET Services, including RTGS or TIPS, and GUI/U2A/A2A actions.
- Around 2–3+ years of payment operations experience at a bank, EMI, or PSP.
- Familiarity with SEPA schemes, payment investigations, recalls, returns, and SWIFT/ISO 20022 messaging.
- Experience writing standard operating procedures and controls, or ability to learn quickly.
- Comfort working with regulators, partners, and technical teams, and making operational sign-off and escalation decisions.
- Fluent English.
Nice to have
- CRDM reference-data maintenance experience.
- Involvement in direct-participation onboarding or sponsor-bank migration.
- Knowledge of DNB/TARGET-NL conditions, IPR, PSD2, or ECONS II contingency processes.
