What you'll do
- Improve service availability and uptime through planning, architecture, automation, and incident response
- Optimize server-side and client-side performance
- Protect services and data through monitoring, security response, backups, and disaster recovery
- Reduce friction for developers shipping software
What we're looking for
- Experience operating large Nginx deployments, including routing, load balancing, performance, and high availability
- Experience operating large MySQL or MariaDB deployments with strong performance, uptime, and data integrity
- Experience running and debugging PHP applications at scale
- Understand lower-level systems including filesystems, networking, memory management, and kernel internals
- Operational experience with large, complex public-facing web hosting systems
- Ability to independently architect, prototype, and maintain solutions
- Strong attention to detail and operational excellence
- Available for 2–3 weeks of team travel per year
