Site Reliability Engineer

About this role

Operate and improve Develocity production instances and supporting services, ensuring their reliability, performance, and availability. As a founding member of a new SRE team, you’ll build automation and operational practices, respond to incidents, and collaborate with platform and engineering teams.

Stack

What you'll do

• Operate Develocity instances and supporting services
• Participate in on-call and lead incident response and troubleshooting
• Automate deployments, upgrades, monitoring, self-healing, and recovery
• Build and maintain logging, metrics, tracing, and alerting
• Partner with engineering teams to build reliability into features
• Run incident retrospectives and implement lessons learned
• Own disaster recovery, backups, and business continuity
• Communicate with customers during incidents and maintenance windows

What we're looking for

• 5+ years in SRE, DevOps, or an equivalent production operations role
• Production Kubernetes experience
• Cloud infrastructure expertise, preferably AWS
• Experience with observability tools and Infrastructure as Code
• Track record of incident management and response
• Knowledge of SRE practices, including SLAs and SLOs
• Python or Bash scripting proficiency
• Experience with 24/7 on-call rotations

Nice to have

• Experience operating SaaS platforms at scale
• Familiarity with Develocity
• Java or Kotlin experience
• Disaster recovery planning and execution experience
• Customer-facing incident communication skills
• Experience establishing SRE practices in a growing team
