What you'll do

- Work with the team building Aperture by Tailscale
- Build and iterate on AI-related tools and workflows
- Identify AI application opportunities
- Establish guardrails and best practices for AI code
- Track adoption and report AI tool impacts
What we're looking for
- 5+ years of professional software engineering experience
- Fluency with modern AI coding tools
- Experience in building internal tools or developer-facing automation
- Strong communication and advocacy skills
- Balanced approach to AI usage
- Comfort with ambiguity in a developing team
Nice to have
- Experience in developer experience or internal tooling
