What you'll do
- Build and operate high-throughput services for AI agents, integrations, and real-time data pipelines
- Design platform services, schedulers, conversation history, protocols, and APIs
- Develop infrastructure as code for highly available services
- Collaborate with AI/ML, Product, and Front-End teams to ship features
- Contribute to documentation, testing, and reliability; mentor junior engineers
What we're looking for
- 5+ years of backend development experience
- Strong algorithms, data structures, and system design fundamentals
- Experience deploying and debugging production systems at scale
- Experience with AWS or another cloud platform
- Fluency with AI coding tools such as Copilot, Cursor, or Claude Code
- Strong CI/CD and infrastructure-as-code knowledge
- Ability to work independently and collaborate across functions
- Strong product instincts and sound speed-versus-reliability tradeoffs
Nice to have
- Backend experience with AI products, LLM features, agent workflows, or ML pipelines
- Experience with real-time systems, event-driven architectures, or high-throughput APIs
