Senior Software Engineer, Compute Platform

What you'll do

• Launch cloud infrastructure products that help Replit Agent build and deploy complex applications
• Improve reliability and scalability by identifying bottlenecks and optimizing critical paths
• Implement monitoring and alerting in collaboration with SRE
• Reduce infrastructure costs through provisioning, autoscaling, cost-aware scheduling, and data lifecycle management

What we're looking for

• Experience with distributed systems such as PaaS, distributed storage, or information retrieval systems
• Ability to design scalable architectures and optimize for latency or cost
• Can work autonomously, take ownership, and deliver incrementally
• Comfortable working across the stack and learning quickly
• Able to participate in an on-call rotation
• Enjoy working with Linux internals

Nice to have

• Experience with cloud infrastructure or platform products, application deployment, serverless computing, or container orchestration
• Familiarity with GCP
• Open-source contributions related to cloud technologies, deployment frameworks, or developer tools
