What you'll do
- Build flexible pricing, contract, and entitlement systems.
- Automate quote-to-cash workflows, onboarding, and credit management.
- Meter and price usage accurately, and reconcile served requests with charges.
- Own billing, payments, invoicing, collections, and provider payables.
- Build a double-entry ledger and automate financial reconciliation.
- Implement idempotency, auditability, anomaly detection, and access controls.
- Partner with Provider, Trust & Safety, Sales, Customer Success, and Finance.
What we're looking for
- 5+ years building production financial systems such as billing, payments, ledgers, or revenue infrastructure.
- Strong knowledge of idempotency, double-entry accounting, event processing, reconciliation, and safe financial-data migrations.
- Hands-on experience with Stripe or a similar payment processor and billing or invoicing platforms.
- Strong TypeScript and SQL skills; experience with PostgreSQL and high-volume analytical stores.
- Working knowledge of AR/AP, revenue recognition, deferred revenue, and month-end close.
- Strong cross-functional collaboration and ability to turn business needs into reliable systems.
Nice to have
- Experience building usage-based, hybrid, or seat-based billing at scale.
- Streaming data pipeline experience with tools such as Dataflow, Spanner, or Kafka.
- Payments fraud and risk experience, including Stripe Radar.
- Experience with multi-currency payments, sales tax/VAT, or global payment methods.
- Experience preparing financial systems for an audit.
- Experience with OpenRouter or AI tooling.
