What you'll do
- Advance the Turso open-source database, especially its Postgres compatibility layer
- Build systems and guarantees that keep code correct and prevent regressions
- Maintain the Turso Cloud API and data plane operations
- Scale Turso Cloud to support 100 times more databases
What we're looking for
- Comfortable working in Rust and with embedded databases
- Experience building databases or other high-stakes, low-level systems
- Experience operating and debugging large-scale production cloud systems
- Experience with reliability, observability, and performance improvements
- Clear communication and ability to work effectively in remote, async environments
Nice to have
- Experience with deterministic simulation testing, formal verification, fuzzing, or differential testing
- Experience with AWS, Kubernetes, and open-source communities
- Comfort with LLM-assisted development and evaluations
