What you'll do
- Lead technical scoping and demo strategy for complex enterprise opportunities.
- Own technical escalations and resolution paths, including clear reproduction steps and context.
- Partner with Engineering and Product to surface tooling gaps and inform the roadmap.
- Manage the delivery path, resourcing, timelines, and customer commitments for scoped builds.
- Design and validate complex integrations across payroll, accounting, time tracking, and third-party systems.
- Coach and train team members on technical deal strategy and customer handling.
What we're looking for
- Bachelor’s degree or 7+ years of relevant experience in a senior technical, solutions architecture, or implementation role.
- Deep fluency in Salesforce or a comparable CRM and Gusto’s integration stack.
- Ability to diagnose root causes across systems and distinguish product gaps from downstream issues.
- Experience designing and implementing complex, integration-heavy solutions for enterprise customers.
- Ability to work directly with Engineering and Product and write actionable bug reports.
- Demonstrated mentorship and ability to set technical standards for a broader team.
Nice to have
- Payroll certification.
- Experience with API-based demos and solution architecture.
- Systems-level payroll, tax, or compliance knowledge.
- Experience with enterprise accounting firms, resellers, or partner channels.
- Proficiency in Excel, Google Sheets, or SQL for diagnostics and tracking.
