Solutions Architect

About this role

Serve as the technical partner to customers building voice and AI applications on LiveKit. Work with account executives to design architectures, deliver demos and proofs of concept, and guide customers from discovery through production.

Sales and Marketing (S&M), working closely with Sales, Engineering, and Product.

Stack

What you'll do

• Lead technical discovery and architecture for strategic sales opportunities.
• Advise customers on cloud architecture and self-hosted or LiveKit Cloud deployments.
• Build tailored demos and reference applications for voice agents, video pipelines, and telephony integrations.
• Plan and run proofs of concept with clear success criteria, guiding customers toward production.
• Design for connectivity, low latency, scale, and reliability.
• Create technical content and share customer insights with Product and Engineering.

What we're looking for

• 4+ years in solutions architecture, sales engineering, customer-facing engineering, or equivalent hands-on engineering.
• Hands-on experience architecting, deploying, and debugging applications on AWS, GCP, or Azure.
• Familiarity with containers, Kubernetes, infrastructure-as-code, and networking fundamentals.
• Ability to reason about end-to-end connectivity, infrastructure, and latency.
• Strong programming skills in Python, TypeScript/Node.js, or Go.
• Clear technical communication, presentation, and demonstration skills.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of real-time media protocols and their latency and quality trade-offs.
• Familiarity with AI voice technologies, including STT/TTS, LLM integration, turn detection, and telephony.
• Technical writing, open-source contributions, or speaking experience.
