About this role

Serve as a technical expert and trusted advisor during pre-sales, helping enterprise customers replace legacy secure email gateways with Abnormal AI. Lead solution design, migration planning, customer workshops, and technical enablement while relaying customer needs to product teams.

Abnormal Security uses AI to detect and stop email and collaboration attacks such as phishing and business email compromise. It protects enterprises against social engineering and account takeover.

What you'll do

• Partner with sales teams on email security architecture and customer engagements
• Lead technical workshops, presentations, and roadmap discussions
• Assess existing secure email gateway configurations and plan migrations to Abnormal AI
• Troubleshoot SEG replacement projects and advise on API-based email security adoption
• Share customer feedback and feature requests with Product and R&D
• Develop technical training and reusable content for sales engineers
• Represent the company at industry and customer events

What we're looking for

• Deep knowledge of Microsoft 365, Google Workspace, and on-premises Exchange
• Experience with secure email gateways such as Proofpoint, Mimecast, or Barracuda, and API- or transport-rule-based vendors
• Knowledge of SPF, DKIM, DMARC, encryption, spam scanning, sandboxing, and emulation
• Enterprise pre-sales solution architecture and trusted-advisor experience
• Experience with SEG replacement or migration to API-based email security
• Knowledge of email security compliance requirements such as GDPR and HIPAA
• Relevant certification, such as Microsoft Messaging Administrator, Google Workspace Administrator, CISSP, or GIAC
• Strong presentation, communication, troubleshooting, and opportunity-management skills

Nice to have

• Experience with machine learning and behavioral analysis in email security
