What you'll do
- Advise customers through discovery, evaluation, scaling, and production deployment.
- Design reference architectures, data models, and ingestion and query patterns.
- Run proofs of concept and benchmarks against competing solutions.
- Partner with Account Executives on technical strategy, security reviews, and deal closure.
- Deliver technical presentations, demos, and workshops to technical and executive audiences.
- Advise on schema design, query optimization, cluster sizing, replication, and database migrations.
- Share structured customer feedback with product and engineering teams.
- Create reusable demos, reference architectures, sample apps, and technical content.
What we're looking for
- Customer-facing technical experience, such as Solutions Architect, Sales Engineer, Data Engineer, or Technical Consultant.
- Hands-on experience with SQL and analytical or OLAP databases.
- Understanding of distributed systems, including partitioning, replication, consistency trade-offs, and query execution at scale.
- Familiarity with modern data stacks, streaming systems, orchestration, BI tools, and cloud infrastructure.
- Ability to lead competitive technical evaluations and influence buying decisions.
- Strong communication skills with both engineering and executive audiences.
- Self-starter comfortable with ambiguity and revenue accountability.
- Willingness to travel periodically.
