What you'll do
- Lead the architecture and delivery of the Supportability Decision Layer and its decision APIs.
- Build low-latency distributed services and orchestrate inputs from machine learning, website intelligence, and AI evaluations.
- Define domain models and interfaces for risk screening and local payment method support.
- Mentor the Dublin engineering team and set technical standards as it grows.
- Align technical plans and integrations with global teams and cross-functional partners.
What we're looking for
- 10+ years of backend engineering experience building production distributed systems.
- Track record leading multi-quarter technical initiatives from ambiguous requirements through delivery.
- Deep experience designing reliable APIs, data models, and backend architectures.
- Strong communication, mentoring, and cross-functional technical leadership skills.
- Fluency in a modern backend language.
Nice to have
- Experience in fraud, trust and safety, risk, or platform abuse.
- Experience with workflow orchestration, policy evaluation, or decision platforms.
- Familiarity with global payments, local payment methods, financial partners, or card network standards.
- Experience integrating AI/ML or agentic workflows into real-time backend systems.
- Experience founding or anchoring a team or technical domain in a regional engineering hub.
