Staff Platform Security Engineer (Security)

The Senior Platform Security Engineer will be responsible for securing AWS and Kubernetes environments, working closely with infrastructure and engineering teams. This hands-on role requires identifying risks, building practical controls, and ensuring the security of mission-critical systems that handle sensitive data.

What you'll do

• Own AWS security for multi-account environment
• Secure production Kubernetes environments
• Design least-privilege access models
• Protect mission-critical infrastructure
• Lead security design for new infrastructure
• Build reusable security controls
• Harden CI/CD and supply chain security
• Build security automation tools

What we're looking for

• 7+ years in platform/cloud/security engineering
• Experience securing AWS and Kubernetes systems
• Designing security for mission-critical systems
• Knowledge of identity and access management
• Proficiency in programming and infrastructure as code
• High ownership of security issues
• Strong communication with engineering teams

Nice to have

• Experience with AWS Nitro Enclaves
• Background in securing financial systems
• Familiarity with key-management infrastructure
• Multi-region AWS and Kubernetes security experience
• Knowledge of service meshes and cloud-native technologies
• Experience with GitHub OIDC and Argo CD
• Usage of cloud-security and observability platforms
• Familiarity with blockchain infrastructure
