Staff Product Manager

About this role

Lead product strategy and roadmap for Honeycomb’s AI-powered investigation experiences, including Canvas, Skills, and Auto-Investigations. Partner with engineering, design, research, and customer-facing teams to turn emerging AI capabilities into useful observability products.

Stack

What you'll do

• Define AI product strategy based on customer needs, technical capabilities, and market trends
• Research how customers adopt AI in engineering workflows and identify emerging needs
• Guide product teams on AI opportunities, approaches, and trade-offs
• Represent Honeycomb’s perspective on AI observability through customer engagement and thought leadership

What we're looking for

• 5+ years of product management experience, including at least 1 year shipping AI/ML-powered products
• Experience taking AI features from concept to customer impact
• Practical understanding of how engineering teams build, deploy, and operate AI systems
• Ability to assess AI approaches and make sound decisions amid ambiguity
• Technical credibility and understanding of production observability
• Strong communication, collaboration, and influencing skills

Nice to have

• Experience with agentic systems, RAG, or fine-tuning
• Engagement with technical communities, researchers, or early adopters
