Staff Product Manager (vMetal)

About this role

Lead product direction for vMetal, a platform that discovers, provisions, configures, and manages bare-metal infrastructure for AI cloud operators. Own the networking product area and work with engineering and customers to shape, validate, and position the platform.

vCluster Labs builds virtual Kubernetes clusters that let platform teams create isolated environments on top of shared clusters for engineering and AI workloads.

Stack

What you'll do

• Set product direction and translate business priorities into engineering specifications for compute and networking.
• Own the networking layer, including tenant network isolation and GPU fabric provisioning.
• Partner with product and engineering leadership to shape vMetal’s roadmap.
• Run alpha and beta builds on bare-metal hardware and network fabrics; identify integration issues.
• Work directly with platform and network engineers at AI cloud operators and hyperscalers.
• Track the bare-metal, GPU infrastructure, and data center networking markets and align product positioning with what the company ships.

What we're looking for

• 5+ years of experience in cloud infrastructure, data center networking, bare metal, or GPU/HPC platforms.
• Working knowledge of InfiniBand, VLAN, VXLAN, EVPN, BGP, and NVIDIA networking tools.
• Working knowledge of bare-metal provisioning, Redfish or IPMI, and PXE boot.
• Customer-facing experience with platform engineers, network engineers, or architects.

Nice to have

• Experience with GPU workload networking such as RoCEv2, rail-optimized topologies, or Spectrum-X.
• Experience building a Kubernetes-as-a-Service offering.
• Adaptability to startup pace and change.
