What you'll do
- Design, build, deploy, and operate systems supporting Firefox engineering
- Contribute to developer tooling, CI/CD, workflow automation, and AI-assisted development tools
- Own complex problems across software, cloud, and operations, improving reliability, performance, observability, and cost efficiency
- Use telemetry, metrics, and data analysis to investigate problems and inform decisions
- Contribute to architecture and technical strategy, applying solutions across teams
- Collaborate with Firefox Engineering, Cloud Engineering, IT, and other teams
What we're looking for
- Strong software engineering skills and substantial experience deploying and operating production systems
- Programming experience in Python or JavaScript/TypeScript
- Experience building and operating production systems in cloud environments and using infrastructure as code
- Experience in areas such as CI/CD, containers and orchestration, networking, databases, observability, or developer tooling
- Ability to use telemetry, metrics, and data to investigate technical problems
- Familiarity with modern AI-assisted development tools, their capabilities, and limitations
