What you'll do
- Design, build, deploy, and operate systems supporting Firefox engineering
- Contribute to developer tooling, CI/CD, workflow automation, and AI-assisted development tools
- Improve reliability, performance, observability, and cost efficiency across software and infrastructure
- Use telemetry, metrics, and data analysis to investigate problems and guide decisions
- Collaborate across engineering and infrastructure teams on shared technical and operational challenges
- Contribute to architecture and technical strategy, creating solutions applicable across teams
- Contribute to the open-source ecosystem
What we're looking for
- Strong software engineering skills and substantial experience deploying and operating production systems
- Programming experience in Python or JavaScript/TypeScript
- Experience building and operating production systems in cloud environments and using infrastructure as code such as Terraform
- Experience in several areas such as CI/CD, containers and orchestration, networking, databases, observability, or developer tooling
- Experience using data, telemetry, and metrics to investigate technical problems and make decisions
- Familiarity with modern AI-assisted development tools and their capabilities and limitations
- Ability to take ownership across software, infrastructure, and operational domains
