What you'll do
- Build, deploy, and operate software and systems supporting Firefox engineering
- Contribute to developer tooling, CI/CD, workflow automation, and AI-assisted development tools
- Improve reliability, performance, observability, and cost efficiency across systems
- Use telemetry, metrics, and data analysis to investigate problems and guide decisions
- Collaborate across Firefox Engineering, Cloud Engineering, IT, and other teams
- Contribute to architecture and technical strategy, identifying solutions applicable across teams
- Contribute to the open-source ecosystem
What we're looking for
- Strong software engineering and programming skills, such as Python or JavaScript/TypeScript
- Substantial experience deploying and operating production systems in cloud environments
- Experience with infrastructure as code, such as Terraform
- Experience in several areas including CI/CD, containers and orchestration, networking, databases, observability, or developer tooling
- Use data, telemetry, and metrics to investigate technical problems and make decisions
- Familiarity with modern AI-assisted development tools and their capabilities and limitations
- Comfortable taking ownership across unfamiliar systems and technical domains
