What you'll do
- Set technical strategy and architecture for large, ambiguous Link initiatives.
- Own projects end to end, from problem definition and planning through safe launch and iteration.
- Build scalable backend services and consumer-facing experiences.
- Lead and unblock engineers through complex project execution.
- Partner with product, design, data science, risk, infrastructure, and other teams.
- Make tradeoffs across user experience, delivery speed, reliability, and technical durability.
- Mentor engineers and raise the engineering bar through design reviews and feedback.
- Shape the roadmap for globally scaling Link’s financial capabilities.
What we're looking for
- 10+ years of backend or full-stack software development experience.
- Track record of owning large, ambiguous systems end to end.
- Experience leading complex software projects from early definition through production launch.
- Strong full-stack skills across reliable backend services and polished user-facing products.
- Experience leading and unblocking engineers as a senior individual contributor.
- Able to frame ambiguous problems, make durable technical decisions, and define actionable plans.
- Strong cross-functional collaboration and engineering judgment around reliability, security, and maintainability.
- Product-minded approach focused on user and business outcomes.
Nice to have
- Experience with Java, Ruby, or TypeScript.
- Payments, money-movement, fintech, or regulated financial product experience.
- Experience building trusted consumer products at scale.
- Experience taking 0-to-1 products from concept through launch and iteration.
