What you'll do
- Lead design, implementation, and operation of developer-facing API capabilities
- Coordinate API readiness for new model launches across teams, SDKs, documentation, and cloud partners
- Turn new model abilities into durable, easy-to-use API features
- Set technical direction across teams and write design proposals
- Improve launch processes and automate manual work
- Build production tools and evaluations that detect capability regressions
- Review API designs and mentor engineers
What we're looking for
- Experience leading cross-team technical projects from design through launch and operation
- Experience designing and operating distributed production systems
- Strong product sense and care for API design and developer experience
- Ability to make sound technical decisions with incomplete or changing information
- Clear communication with technical and non-technical partners
- Experience mentoring engineers and providing design feedback
Nice to have
- Experience building public APIs, SDKs, or developer platforms
- Experience with LLMs, tool use, agents, or evaluations
- Experience coordinating launches or migrations with fixed deadlines
- Experience building agent tools such as search or code execution
- Experience with storage, memory, or context systems at scale
