What you'll do
- Lead architecture and technical decisions for Services products
- Write code, prototypes, and experiments across the development lifecycle
- Build and evolve analytics and infrastructure for data-informed decisions
- Provide technical and product direction across teams
- Improve systems and processes for scalability, sustainability, and self-service
- Mentor engineers through reviews, documentation, and technical guidance
What we're looking for
- 10+ years of web software development experience and experience launching complex projects at scale
- Expert-level JavaScript and proficiency in an additional programming language
- Experience with scalable system design, front-end frameworks, full-stack development, and/or APIs
- Experience as a technical lead, solving complex problems, and mentoring engineers
- Strong software development practices, including testing, code review, and documentation
- Experience collaborating remotely across engineering, product, QA, and design
- Excellent written and verbal English communication skills
- Comfort with open-source work and willingness to travel periodically
