About this role
Own delivery and regional planning for Abnormal’s APAC strategic events portfolio, including major industry events, flagship company events, and executive programs. The role connects event investment to target accounts and pipeline, with end-to-end ownership of logistics, budgets, partners, on-site execution, and performance reporting.
About the company
Abnormal Security uses AI to detect and stop email and collaboration attacks such as phishing and business email compromise. It protects enterprises against social engineering and account takeover.
What you'll do
- Manage end-to-end logistics and delivery across multiple APAC events and markets.
- Plan regional event calendars and recommend investments based on pipeline, account engagement, and go-to-market priorities.
- Source, manage, and negotiate with venues, agencies, production partners, and suppliers.
- Collaborate with Sales, Revenue Marketing, Sales Engineering, and partner teams to plan and staff event activations.
- Own event budgets, purchase orders, invoices, and contract negotiations.
- Lead on-site execution, staff orientations, and real-time troubleshooting.
- Manage lead capture, CRM hygiene, pipeline forecasts, ROI reporting, and post-event retrospectives.
- Create repeatable regional playbooks and share best practices across the global events team.
What we're looking for
- 4–7 years of experience in B2B strategic events, ideally in technology, SaaS, cybersecurity, or enterprise software.
- Experience independently owning event strategy and budgets across multiple regions.
- Strong program management skills, including prioritization and operating with ambiguity and limited oversight.
- Experience managing events across multiple time zones and concurrent markets.
- Significant budget, vendor, and contract management experience.
- Experience partnering with regional Sales leadership to align events with pipeline and account goals.
- Comfort presenting event results, ROI, and forecasts to senior stakeholders.
- Willingness to travel approximately 40–50%, mainly across APAC, with some EMEA and AMER travel, and work evenings or weekends around events.
Nice to have
- Experience with tools such as Asana, Allocadia, Coupa, Jifflenow, Cvent, Salesforce, Sigma, Splash, RainFocus, Claude, or Google Suite.
- Additional regional language, such as Mandarin, Japanese, or Bahasa.
- Familiarity with account-based marketing and target-account event strategies.
- Experience mentoring or informally guiding junior events team members.
- Cybersecurity or enterprise software experience.
