Support Engineer (L2)

About this role

Provide L2 technical support to LocalStack customers, primarily Itaú during Brazilian business hours. Investigate, reproduce, and resolve complex issues, while communicating clearly with customers in both Portuguese and English.

What you'll do

• Provide L2 support coverage for Itaú during Brazilian business hours.
• Independently investigate, reproduce, and resolve complex customer issues.
• Support other Americas-based customers when capacity allows.
• Communicate empathetically and professionally through written support and live troubleshooting.

What we're looking for

• Proficiency in a major programming language, preferably Python.
• Strong AWS expertise and experience with Docker and container networking.
• Experience with infrastructure-as-code tools such as Terraform, Pulumi, or AWS CDK/SDK.
• Proficiency with Git and GitHub, including branches and pull requests.
• Strong understanding of Linux, macOS, and Windows, and skill analyzing logs.
• Familiarity with relational and non-relational databases.
• Excellent written and verbal communication in Portuguese and English.
• Comfort using AI tools and critically validating their output.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of PowerShell, Bash, or other scripting languages.
• Familiarity with Kubernetes, Helm, Azure, or other cloud platforms.
• Familiarity with Snowflake.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines such as GitHub Actions or GitLab CI.
