What you'll do
- Shape product strategy, roadmap priorities, and major investment decisions with product leads
- Set the data science agenda and prioritize where the team can have the greatest impact
- Manage, coach, and develop Product Data Scientists
- Define core success metrics and measurement frameworks
- Set standards for experimentation and causal inference, and lead high-stakes analyses
- Translate complex analysis into recommendations for senior leaders and cross-functional partners
- Establish data practices and analytics infrastructure for rapid product iteration
What we're looking for
- Extensive data science experience, including leading analytics for a significant-scale product area
- At least 3 years managing data science teams and setting team direction
- Experience influencing senior product and business leaders and changing roadmaps or high-stakes decisions
- Strong product judgment and ability to make recommendations amid ambiguity
- Expertise in experimental design, causal inference, and statistical modeling at scale
- Working fluency in Python and SQL
- Clear written and verbal communication, including with executive audiences
- Bias for action in fast-moving environments
