Translator, Italian (IT)

About this role

Circle is hiring two long-term freelance translators to localize software UI and online marketing content from English into natural, culturally relevant Italian. The work is remote and asynchronous, with regular Slack collaboration and coordination with another Italian translator.

What you'll do

• Translate software UI text while preserving meaning, tone, variables, and formatting
• Translate online marketing content into persuasive Italian
• Apply translation guidelines, glossary, and style guide consistently
• Use approved key-based translation and AI tools
• Investigate and resolve linguistic quality-assurance issues
• Communicate availability, turnaround times, and delivery risks asynchronously
• Coordinate coverage with the other Italian translator

What we're looking for

• Professional experience translating software UI text into Italian
• Professional experience translating online marketing content into Italian
• Experience with key-based translation or localization tools
• Native-level Italian and strong English comprehension
• Ability to work independently and follow detailed language guidance
• Willingness to investigate, report, and correct quality issues
• English communication skills at CEFR C2 level or equivalent

Nice to have

• Familiarity with online communities, creator-economy products, or creator software
• Experience localizing SaaS, membership, community, or other digital products
