Video Editor - Contractor

About this role

Part-time contract role editing and filming video content for Kit’s content and growth marketing. The work spans short-form social videos and longer pieces such as creator interviews, tutorials, and webinars, with occasional on-site filming in New York City.

Stack

What you'll do

• Film original content in studios, on set, and at in-person events as needed.
• Edit short-form organic social videos and turn interviews and webinars into paid ad creative.
• Edit creator interviews, case studies, product tutorials, and evergreen webinars.
• Repurpose longer recordings and existing footage into short social cuts and mini-course lessons.

What we're looking for

• 4+ years editing social-first video content.
• Experience editing both short-form social and long-form video.
• Hands-on experience with interviews, webinars, or talking-head footage.
• Strong editing and filming skills, including pacing, captions, and audio cleanup.
• Able to apply brand guidelines consistently and deliver polished work on tight turnarounds.
• Comfortable managing multiple projects and working independently from raw footage and briefs.

Nice to have

• Experience working with creators.
• Experience editing course-style or educational video content.
• Familiarity with CapCut, Opus Clip, or Descript.
